Fly Fishing Australia
During our recent visit to Australia my son (Scott) and I fished several mountain rivers in northern Victoria. The streams were very similar to eastern mountain streams in size and held wild Rainbows and Browns. It was the middle of September (early spring DownUnder) so the rivers were running full and cold. We caught fish on dry/dropper combos in the smaller, shallower runs and running double rigged nymphs through the deeper holes as well. Tactics don’t change from one part of the world to another!!
While fishing on the Ovens we were treated to a chorus by two Kookaburras, here is a short video of them laughing in unison!
